If Iris species seeds are what you seek then you may wish to check into the
benefits of membership in SIGNA, the Species Iris Group of North America, an
international organization which holds a sale of donated seed annually. The
British Iris Society also holds a well esteemed Iris seed sale. The SIGNA
sale typically also includes some open pollinated seeds from named cultivars
of beardless irises. Otherwise, for species Iris seeds in the UK, Chiltern
typically has a modest but useful selection. Here is the address for SIGNA:

A variety of hybrid irises are also available in the UK, notably at Croftway
Nurseries, V.H. Humprey's, and Clair Austin, and if it is these in which you
are interested you will need to obtain the plants themselves, for they will
not come true from seeds. A useful tool in determining availability of irises
of all kinds, including both species and hybrids, in the UK is the RHS
Plantfinder, which is located at this address:

If you have checked the range at these nurseries and found it inadequate for
your needs, you may wish to consider importation of rhizomes from North
America. Several nurseries will ship abroad including Chuck Chapman in
Canada, Winterberry Gardens in Virginia, and Superstition Iris Gardens in
California. Addresses for all three are to be found at this address:

And for more links to good iris information of interest to iris fanciers
around the world, you may wish to visit the page of the American Iris
Society, and explore the links there thoroughly, including that for Croftway
Nurseries and Cayeux in France. Here is that address:

I hope this information is useful to you.
