If you have that many ants, you pobably have aphids. Check inside the outer
leaves on a few fans where the ants are thickest, particularly it they seem
a bit odd-shaped. If you do have aphids, try using Bayer rose care
fertilizer with systemic insecticide. It'll knock out the aphids and about
80% of the ants will lose interest.

all of you out there are just great. I feel better about the ripples in my
iris's plants, we did have a sudden hot spell here in Pismo and it did
happen after that. I am looking for Bill Shear's book our book store is
going to try and found it for me. The white stuff is also gone....!!!Thank
you, BUT, today I went out to talk and water and just in general make them
feel better, O.K. maybe I needed to feel better and I found ANTS! and a lot
of them. Now what? I didn't have any of these problems when they wouldn't
grow. as soon as I get the book I will be able to do answer a lot of these
questions, but until then I need help again. Thank you all, susan desmond
