Check out Burseen's SILENT RAIN for a gray effect. Similar to
OZONE ALERT, but more gray. I liked it in Dallas, but not OA.
Go figure.

opposed to "mainstream fluffier pastel beardeds". I went back and
read some of my notes from Dallas. On several seedling numbers
I noted a more tailored appearance in comparison to a similarly
colored iris by the same hybridizer but with the apparently requisite
ruffles. My notes say that I much preferred the tailored seedlings,
but remarked that the similar ruffled would probably be introduced
instead of the tailored. As I recall there were several in this scenario
that I didn't record since I made the assumption the tailored blooms
would not be intro'd with similar ruffled varieties available. All in one's
personal taste, I guess.
