Hi,
If you're running a site with a bunch of people
receiving the same mailing list it's possible to dump the messages
to a newsgroup. Usually a better choice for everybody involved.
On the other hand so many programs have both mail and
newsreading functions that the person may have just called thier
program a newsreader.
Can't comment on Compuserve.
