Re: HYB: Footie colours in iris
One of my footie friends once told me that he wouldn't give my
hybridization efforts any any interest unless I could come up with
something that resembled the Leeds United Football Club crest. I figure
the iris would a plicata including the colors of blue , yellow and
white.
Marketing iris to fanatical football ( soccer for North Americans)
supporters seems highly unlikely but is something that could be hot if
it was a really good iris and would surely appeal to club supporters
that love to garden. I was surprised recently when I found out that
many of my favorite English based players actually enjoy gardening.
We could be on to something here.......:-) .
