Unfortunately this site probably does not take into account subzones, or
differences in elevation. The USDA published a very large and very
detailed map, which includes county boundaries for all states. I got one
courtesy of Mike Lowe. A small version of this is reprinted in many
mail-order nursery catalogs. In the scale to such maps, you'll also notice
a rather wide range of minimum temperatures for each zone. It's not
surprising therefore to see a 2-3 week variance in seasonal progress within
a zone.
