It might have been a wonderful weekend, but there's hail and really cold
weather heading your way. My first King Alfred Daffs are out also, as well
as the early jounquils. However in Adelaide (warmer) a lot of the jounquils
flower in May/June. Most of my earlier irises are starting to come away, and
my Olymparico which flowers in July/Aug and then again in Oct sometimes has
had it's first bloom out. Lots of attempted rebloom, Auric (still) All
American (still going) Heather Blush, Berry Blush, Auric, Divine Right,
Light Beam (yet again). The Cascade Pass which is just finishing looked the
best it's ever looked. Plus a couple of seedlings. We've not had many frosts
so far this winter but a lot of cold damp days with the temp sitting around
4-6C for most of the day. Doing my seedlings a lot of good. Was surprised to
see that my Siberica seeds which weren't prechilled started to come up in a
few weeks, way ahead of all my other SIGNA seeds.
