Hi Dennis,
According to the zip code map, I am in Zone 6, the same as you. However,
because of microclimate considerations our home should be listed as Zone 5.
Our public garden which is just eleven miles away really is Zone 6, because
it is next to Lake Erie, is at a lower elevation and has much milder weather
than at home. I am always surprised when I hear that Southern Ohio and parts
of Kentucky are Zone 6, because everything blooms so much earlier there than
here.
