Some of the rhizomes I've received from Riverview have been on the small size, but they have ALL grown, thrived, and produced good plants and bloom here in Iowa.  Paul Tyerman's remarks are right on target:  the climate of Caldwell, IDaho is not a banana belt, but the stock from there is used to tougher conditions and is healthy and strong.  I really like what I get from them, including the 2001 order which just arrived today.
