Donna, you have solved my problem with the dry stream I am installing
in back of the house. The young lady next door has a ton of nut grass
and it appears the seed has floated over into my yard. Shelving open
cultivation, I sprayed with a combination of Roundup and Scythe to no
avail. I placed four sheets of newspaper and topped it off with
landscape fabric. The next step was to put down mulch and forgo any
plantings until year 2050. Now, the peat bags can sit on top of the
fabric.
