here is a little poem I wrote a while back. your mention of cowpies brought it
back....
Cowpies
Life is a meadow
of flowers and cowpies.
Some see the flowers
to be wadded through,
avoiding those unsightly spots.
Occasionally beauties are bruised
but life's a joy.
Others see only cowpies
as steps for staying
off of the flowers.
They spend their lives
in worlds of sh--.
Choosing where we walk
does change our lives.
