I love the idea of a theme iris garden. I have been compiling a list
for the last few months with the idea of eventually having a 'Tour of
Washington' garden. Including such named varieties as:
Washington
Chief Seattle
Tacoma Beauty
Seattle Centeniel
West Seattle
Olympia
Tumwater
Far West
Miss Walla Walla
Hoodsport
Snoqualmie
Spokan
Cascade Morn
Cascade Waters
High Cascades
Nisqually
George Washington
Martha Washington
Rainier
Rainier Valley
Mt. St. Helens
Mt. Washington
Puget Sound
Other suggestions for my list are appreciated! I hope to track them
down over the next few years. There are so many great themes that
could be constructed with irises. I really enjoyed the 'fantasy &
myth' ideas as well as the theological theme. I look forward to
seeing others ideas.
