A database created with Access Developer Edition can be compiled and
distributed with its own runtime engine. Creating an efficient, upgradable,
and user friendly database is a profession unto itself. Believe me.

And for you serious hybridizers, how about things like dominant/recessive
characteristics, and a built-in family tree maker...

Absolutely. I get the feeling that some may not appreciate how really big
the job is.
