Hey Mary,
There are pictures of a couple hundred iris that are being grown just down
the road from you in Raleigh on my website. Perhaps this picture gallery
can help with your selection. Also, Lloyd Zurbrigg is the closest
hybridizer to you so perhaps his plants should be expected to do well for
you, too.

I live in Greensboro,NC and I am wondering what the time period is
that I need to plant within. Are there any bearded irises that do
really well in my area? I plan to plant a wide range of colors but I
love purple in various shades.
