Re: CULT: Transpiration and rot

Well, I have to find Oyez then, if it bloomed for you Laurie. It's the
first AB that I ever saw and adore it to pieces!

I've grown mostly medians in my garden for about 10 yrs, and have very few
TB's for the very reasons you mention, Laurie. I refuse to stake any plant,
except for climbers. A friend gave me some TB's last year and most of them
are blooming, but the older TB historics I have never even blew over in a
couple of bad rain/wind storms we had here a week or so back.

There's still IB's, BB's, TB's, I. versicolor, I. pseudacorus and Sib's
blooming here. Many MDB's and SDB's bloomed at least for 2 wks this year,
probably due to the cold spring weather. 3 wks ago, during one of my iris
garden tours, I had the perfect day. The entire 2000 nursery bed had it's
total 200+ irises all in bloom (MDB's and SDB's)!

I'll try to find the pic and send it to iris-photos.
