Good luck on this cross, Betty. Dry in my cupboard are 18 seeds from (Silverado X (Pink Lenox x Celebration Song). The pollen parent has all of Celebration Song's good qualities and all of its bad. It is Celebration Song in such a pure orchid that it looks pink orchid in the sun, blue orchid in the shade. I love it but could never introduce it because of its bloom out tendency. I couldn't even vote for Celebration Song on the Symposium this year because of that boom out tendency. Silverado does well here. I want to retain that color while eliminating bloom out. I also have seeds by this seedling from Magical Encounter and Appleblossom Days, and next year I hope to cross it with Ruffled Goddess. Of course, as Walter reminded me, I haven't yet been able to repeal Murphy's Law.
Right now I'm trying to keep all my iris clumps from rotting. They are baked from a month of 110+ temperatures. We got seven tenths of an inch of rain last night, the first since last December and with the humidity, they look terrible.
