Lots of corporations are using "Distance Learning" and live internet
conferencing to do training.
You can't really do this sort of thing with slide shows alone, and most
require a reasonably fast connection. The whole process is not cheap.
Everyone thinks of the little "web cams" and voice over IP (internet).
The problem is (to my knowledge) they are limited in the number of
connections for a given speed line. Plus the service to runs them iws
not cheap.
Certainly, it is in the future, I just don't think it is here now.
Besides, the bigger problem we have is getting judges *out in the
garden.* (as Ellen notes above) Here in Region 14, we just last year
changed the ongoing education requirements to increase the amount of
garden training. I don't know if the problem exists in other Regions,
but I would suspect so.
