Laurie,
Amazing to know that a few Arilbreds pulled through your treacherous
spring. I hope you're going to try your hand at germinating the seeds
this year.
I tried to mail you privately to let you know that 25 seeds from your
crosses germinated and are between 4 to 6 inches high but my mails are
promptly returned . Ironically, only one of my 100+ seeds germinated
;-(.
This proves that sticking a broken off pod in a potato is an effective
way to save a cross.
As for 1/4 breds, the only one I have is KUALA LUMPUR and it didn't pod
with any pollen that I hit it with, but it is an amazing long blooming
iris.
