Donna & Friends --
Thanks for your kind words. Here is the story. Someone in a previous post had
referenced the "Tages." I had a guest, and I mentioned this in conversation.
We both have some understanding of linguistic history, etc. etc., and a good
smattering of other European languages (Tag is German for day, etc.) My
guest, a brown thumbed, New York City friend with many redeeming virtues,
cannot quiet believe that I enjoy the daily iris-talk. By choice, my computer
has no security. The iris-talk board was up on the screen. In a moment of
abandon and flight of ideas, my friend decided to post a message. It was a
kind of fantasy take off. I have gently reprimanded him. I have forgiven him,
but please be assured that my humor, while idiosyncratic, will be appropriate
for irisarians.
Quiet seriously, however, I have the most delicate lavender-purple belamcanda
lily /
blackberry lily blooming which came from 1999 SIGNA seed. I have never seen
this
color before. I also have some pure yellow, orange, and maroon ones. These
lavender-purple blooms are small and delicate, and I am
attempting to self pollinate them, and will collect the seed especially from
these two plants.
Thank you all for the good information I receive from iris-talk and be sure
that my posts will be either serious or the humor will be iris appropriate.
