Re: Terrible iris rhizomes

Lenora, Foxes' Iris Patch and Riverview Gardens are 2 very distinct entities, the former in S. Dakota and the latter are in Idaho. They share one thing: each has a very rigorous and tough climate, which means their rhizomes are not likely to be the great, huge things one gets from places like Schreiners, etc. I know Vince and Donna Fox personally, and I know they are very conscientious people who would never send bad stuff on purpose. Their rhizomes may be small, but the only ones I ever got from them all grew, flourished, and produced as many iris as the fat west coast things. They were tough, survivors of tough, demanding climatic conditions. What I got from Riverview has been the same, as I've already written a few days ago.
