I am an old man and have no idea what a 'flipping hobby' is.
To see if I had completely lost my marbles with my reference to calling
irising a 'hobby,' I checked Mallorn Archives and found 569 matches for 'hobby,' the most recent by Cliff Snyder just last night (7/30/02) when
he offered his overgrown 'hobby' for sale. Even our East Tennessee
scientist Linda Mann used 'hobby' in reference to what she does with
irises about a week before Cliff.

Fenniman: 'Groucho, the magic word tonight is 'hobby.'
Groucho: 'Fenniman, give the folks a definition.'
Fenniman: 'Groucho, according to Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary,
hobby is a pursuit outside of one's regular occupation, especially for
relaxation.'
