Boy am I glad I only made 4 crosses this year! I will be doing well to find
room for 20
seedlings. These are all TBs. I must have 25 spuria stalks with at least
one pod on them, all made by bees, which I will give away to iris nuts younger
than I. They take
too many years to mature. Pat in Dallas

Concerning seed counts per a single pod:
Last year here in NC, Maid of Avalon X Fiery Temper, one pod, 75 seeds
In 2001, Vienna Waltz X Power Woman: (P 1-13: Swingtown x Romantic
Evening--81
Vienna Waltz X P 1-9, sib to Power Woman-- 66
Happenstance X Power Woman-- 84
Happenstance X P 1-9 --64
And a fair number of years ago in Idaho a pod on EMMA COOK contained 90
seeds.
I don't recall the cross.
These are unusual counts and suggest some remarkable genetic compatibility
between the clones, perhaps.
