How should LAs be prepared for shipment through the mail? I know that bearded iris can withstand being out of the ground for extended periods, so shipping bare root is not much of a problem for them, but I wonder about LAs. Should one attempt to keep their roots moist during shipment and advise recipient to plant quickly and water well?
Any advice would be appreciated.
