Everyone can vote in the popularity poll that the AIS has (I think you need to be an AIS member though).

The short answer: For the AIS awards, like the Dykes Medal, the John C. Wister medal, the J.A.Payne medal and so on, yes, you need to be an AIS judge. If you become an apprentice judge you will begin receiving a ballot but you don't have a vote until you become a fully accredited judge...

In case my poor verse does not carry the message, I would dearly love to
see the due date for the judges ballot for the AIS awards be moved to a
later date. It certainly was a late season of iris bloom this year here
in New Jersey zone 6b, and it served to show how nearly impossible it
would be to ever vote a ballot in time if I lived in zone 4 or the like!

In addition to just getting to see some iris before the july 1 deadline,
a few weeks to gather the little scraps of paper with all my notes made
while garden visiting and compile them into something resembling reason,
well that would be helpful too. How does September 1st sound?

And if wishing is all it takes, being able to vote the ballot
electronically would be a great plus too!
