Char, I have been using a large size juice can for this.   I guess I don't
gfet to the weeds as soon as you do.

HI,

I have a solution to the overspray of round up or drift.  I cut the top and
bottom if necessary from a wrapping paper tube.  set the tube over the weed
and spray.  For larger weeds I have a box done the same way, a smaller one.
NO DRIFT!
