Colleen, I'm not as horrified at what you found at National when I have
second thoughts. Most AIS members have never been to a National, or maybe to a
Regional. Also most have never had Judges Training -- and certainly there are
very few that had it under Fred Stephenson. That was back in the "old days"
when there was honor among thieves, so to speak! Somehow it was ingrained that
one should KNOW your irises, and the importance of accuracy was rigidly
taught -- It was rumored that the West Coast really didn't want a Judge who had
been under his training, because he was known to be a stickler.
When in doubt, throw it out, or put in a sale as "anonymous" for those who
don't care, just so it is "pretty" -- I'm not even sure THAT is a good idea,
because someone can come along and say "That looks like ----" and : there is a
name tag on a lookalike! No one is perfect, but one can aspire! Rosalie
