Let me reply as I have some quite unconventional ideas on the matter.
And your endeavour may verify them.
Either rebloom is
A_from a 'rebloom' gene
B_ from gene combination
C_from gene decombination
A is the commonest hypothesis. If true your non reblooming parents that have a reblooming grand parent do not have the required gene and progeny neither. In this case all reblooming cvs should stem from one or a very few mutated original vars.
B is to be considered as even with tetraploid complex heredity A is not confirmed. In this hypothesis you may succeed as the reblooming gene combination may be restablished in a portion of your seedling lot. Here a common reblooming grand parent is a definite plus as all reblooming cvs with the many different identified reblooming behaviours may stem from different gene combinations.
C is my (hybridizer's) opinion: rebloom is not from a some new mutated gene; it is the loss of an adaptation to seasoned climates that is once a year blooming. This adaptation that avoid production of flowers that will never give any seed is known to be based on different elements such as I.E. temperature (/sum of), daylength, rains etc. according to the prevalent limiting factors and hazards. Even if based on the same element, flowering control may take different pathes. If two plants species that adapted being isolated they may develop different non compatible adaptations. In nature the non adapted being less competitive over the millenaries are eliminated but in our gardens reblooming is treasured and will be selected.
What is known about reblooming irises history fits rather well as in this hypothesis reblooming may appear again and again in some families with appropriate mixed ancestry and not in others. Here chances are even better with reblooming grand parents.
As you see in my opinion it is definitely worth a try.
I tried to make it short and hope my non native english is understandable.

What's the probability of getting rebloom seedlings from non-reblooming parents but reblooming grandparents? (i.e., non reblooming sdlng (IMMORTALITY x CELEBRATION SONG) crossed with non reblooming sdlng (HARVEST OF MEMORIES x CELEBRATION SONG)? Is it zero, or just nearly zero?
Is the probability of rebloom higher if the reblooming grandparent on
both sides is the same rebloomer (i.e., (IMM x CSONG) X (IMM x VANITY)?
