Dave, pbf is definitely a desirable quality for me.  A year  or two ago we 
discussed purple pods on the list.  This is an extension of  pbf or closely 
related.  I can report that a child of Radiant Bliss (the  one I reported on 
before) also has the purple pod factor.  
 
Unfortunately some varieties have only slight pbf which is not visible all  
the time.  Many seedlings from my 1812 cross have pbf from light to  dark.  
Yet, earlier in the spring neither parent was showing pbf.  But  it's there.
