Found local source!

Hi all!

I found a local (less than half an hour's drive) Iris breeder. His name is Dana Borglum. He bred Lake Seneca (Siberian) which got an HM from the AIS in 2003. Went there this morning and came back with lots of plants including a clump of Lake Seneca which I think is lovely. He digs then on the spot as you pick them (and he has dig it yourself gardens too) so the plants are out of the ground only as long as it takes you to get them home and in the ground. Mine were planted in less than 2 hours from being dug up. I bought a large clump of Siberian seedlings which I won't know much about for a year or two. At $6. they were irisistable !

He also gave me a clump of a small Iris named English Charm. I want to find out more about that one.
He also breeds Hostas and Daylillies and yes I got lots of those too.

I've got a couple of questions from this:

A) some plants had pods. If there are seeds how do I plant them? Is there a FAQ on this?
B) what are Versicolor Iris? He had some and I really didn't grasp what they were.
C) is there a FAQ on how to breed Iris?

He was very generous with his time and I didn't want to impose too much so I saved those questions for this group.
