Re: TB: Blue plicatas

Hi, all,

I have a couple others that I think are more blue than purple. Blue ones are
kinda rare, I guess. One is Blue Staccato (Jim Gibson 1977), which to my
nose is intensely fragrant, rich, like the best daffodils. The other is the
historic Blue Shimmer (Jacob Sass 1941). I like the peppering on it.

I love Acoma but I think it's just a tad on the lavender side. I have a
great clump of it but it doesn't rebloom. I have just about given up on
rebloomers here but the RE bed needs redone so maybe that's my problem.
Since it's a Colorado iris it probably should rebloom here.

I have some questions about my pink plics so I'll start another thread. I
love the pink and raspberry ones. Guess I'm just tired of purple.

Speaking of purple irises, one way you can tell the 'real' Titan's Glory is
that it has purple base foliage. I had one that didn't and was told it was
mislabeled.

Cheers, Barb

| It seems to me that Creative Stitchery is a blue plicata. A darker blue
| is Rare Treat. The stitching on both of these is much more blue than
| purple.
