Re: avoiding asphyxiating seeds - good points, Chuck.
When I'm using baggies for seeds in the fridge, whether with intact pods
or burritos, I use the fold top type sandwich baggies, and <loosely>
close them, then put batches of those in bigger <unsealed> zip lock
bags. I prefer the zip lock freezer bags because they are heavier
plastic, therefore more rigid, and less likely to get wadded up, thus
cutting off air, if accidentally buried under produce.
When making burritos, I dip a paper towel in water, squeeze out all
excess water, then wrap the seeds. I do not add more water unless
replacing the towels, following the same procedure. If the towel gets
too dry to suit me, I submerge the entire burrito (sans baggie) in
water, then squeeze out excess.
The baggie is just there to prevent the burrito (& seeds) from drying
out completely, not to keep seeds "wet".
