There was a lot of discussion about bogs and ponds and irises suitable for
them on the list last year - if you want to check the archives. I'm not sure
how well we discussed the topic in relation to regional climate differences
though. The only one I remember for sure is that Japanese iris don't take
well to having submerged roots during winters where it isn't very cold.
