A 4" pot is about the smallest to work with. Do you have these
potted irises in the shade? Also, you need to get an old-fashioned,
galvanized tub, put a couple inches of water in it, and water the irises
throught the drainage holes. If it should rain, check immediately after
the rain to see if the pots held water. If they did, tip them slightly
and pour off the standing water.
