	Part of the above post is missing.  I went on to say that I had
seen bearded irises on the MS gulf coast in beds elevated about two feet
off the ground but was not there during bloom season to check on their
bloom.  It might be possible to grow some bearded in the FL panhandle
where it can get quite cold or around Jacksonville if they have sharp
drainage.  South of there it would seem impossible to me because of the
heat, humidity, and salt spray.  If they survived, peak bloom would be in
Feb!!  Just imagine!!!
