Bill did his post-doctoral research on ecology at the University of
British Columbia in a large project lead by me for about 14 years. He
followed in his father and uncle's footsteps and was a professor of
ecology at the U of Virginia the last time that we were in touch. I was
accepted to be a student at Kew but ended up doing a degree instead. I
have finally returned to my first love, which is horticulture, and spend
most of my time gardening!
I have gathered from your messages that you are from England and have
some qualification in either zoology or botany. Where are you from and
what is your background? North Utah seems an odd place to end up!
