For Steve and Sharlyn:
Spartan is listed as "seedling x Fireball", and Fireball is a red; its parents
are Gypsy Jewels x Fire Magic. Sweet Musette, on the other hand, is a product
of complicated seedling crosses, the details of which are probably known only
to the Schreiners. Were your crosses between these two, or do they involve
other iris? Let us know in the future what you get!

Dear List,
We are wondering if someone out there knows the parents and the colors of
each parent for SPARTEN and SWEET MUSETTE. We would greatly appreciate
this information. They both produce gobs of pollen and we have a lot of
crosses by them. We are wondering what might be in store for their
seedlings.
