Described in WOI as a pale lavender and deep purple bitone.

One of the "recommended varieties" by J. Marion Shull in the classic
RAINBOW FRAGMENTS, published in 1931.
Excellence..... .In form and color
Color...        Attractive contrast though lacking in brilliance.
Form....        Find and well balanced, of flaring type.
Standards....   Erect to arching; pale lavender violet.
Fals... Flaring, velvety raisin purple with wide border of lavender viole=
t.
Substance....   Good.
Size... Medium to good.
Haft....        Broad and flat with broad reticulations.
Beard...        Yellow but sparse and not conspicuous.
Fragrance....   Wanting
Spathes....     Green; inflated and keeled.
Foliage....Stiff and broad; glaucous green.
Growth....      Of moderate vigor but good increase.
Stalk....       Erect with few and high fastigiate brances; to 33 inches.=

Bloom....       Moderately free.
Time... Midseason to late.
Remarks...      At times the lavender violet fades to a tinted white.
