Although this thread was begun with a plea to use less offensive language,
some of the postings have themselves contained phrases that could be deemed
offensive.
Let's take a little care. Although in ordinary conversation, we may know
our audience well and trust that words will be taken in the spirit
intended, it is unwise to make such assumptions on a mailing list of 350+
subscribers. Also, remember that the list is archived at a pubicly
accessible web site. What may be humorous to one person may be tasteless or
downright offensive to someone else. It's best to be cautious and maintain
decorum.
