Hi, Anner! Wotta story! Thanks for keeping us up to date. I am getting
some things ready to send to Mr. Niswonger and will include this.
At the local sale Saturday I picked up 3 of his introductions, including
his very first one, SAPPHIRE FUZZ, blue w/blue beard, ('67, HM '68)! The
other two were DREAM BOOK, '73, a deep pink self, and SPIRIT OF
SOUTHEAST, '94, gold standards/ maroon falls. Last year I got SDB
RASPBERRY JAM and IB GOLDEN MUFFIN (GM bloomed this year). He said in
his note that he was proud that a 20 year old iris was still around. Now
his first introduction is officially a Historic! There are more of his
older ones out there than he thinks.
