Having bought from Schreiners for several years now, my major
complaint with them is their shipping times. Maryland is a soup bowl of heat
and humidity
and they invariably ship rhizomes during our hottest times. Two years in a
row I received my order with rhizomes covered in mold and a couple were
beginning to rot. To Schreiners favor I must say that they replace rhizomes
readily without question, but I hate spending so much time washing my order
in chlorox. Plus the occasions that I've had to have rhizomes replaced I've
sometimes encountered situations where the variety was sold out or they no
longer offered that variety.I would think that someone at Schreiners has
cable TV and gets the weather channel. Why not check the weather for the
east coast just before shipping? I have all but begged Schreiners not to
ship to me until the middle or end of Aug.( It doesn't freeze here in
Annapolis until November.) Alas, I just received this summers's order last week.
