In a airy (not windy) spot, shaded or as cool as possible. I keep mine
in the garage with the door open enough to get good circulation, but
closed enough to keep the sun out. Moisture, dampness or sun would be
bad. A cool dry cellar would be fine, a cool damp cellar not so good.
You can trim them up a little just before the sale.
