Hi,
I'm new to the iris list. I have always liked irises, and now
have a garden with almost 20 different siberians, a few germans,
and some odds and ends (versicolor, some spuria (orientalis?), et al).
I'm growing in the north Idaho Palouse region, and it is a
great place to grow...some of my sibs get to over 4 feet tall here!
(Raspberries @ 9 feet etc; you get the picture). Too much
Miracle Gro maybe?? ;-)
For 20 years I grew orchids and had a greenhouse full of them.
Had to sell them though when I moved to Idaho. The irises are
the closest things to orchids in beauty, I'd say, but they don't
need a greenhouse, so that's the way to go..
I just today ordered some spuria hybrids from Van Bourgundien. Have I
been bitten?
