Ah Caesar's Brother, I remember it well. Got it seven years ago, split the=
=20
clump with an axe into ten pieces in order to move it two years ago, got ei=
ght=20
blooms off a two year clump and sold the rest for the garden club.
Foliage is not nearly as tall as yours though. I'd suspect a nitrogen prob=
lem=20
if it weren't for your neighbouring cultivar.

I find Caesar's Brother to be somewhat finicky. I've had it for 6 or 7 =3D
years and it has been moved once. I have never had the floriferousness fro=
m=3D
=3D
it as I have from others such as Fourfold White. It was moved two years ag=
o=3D
=3D
and has not bloomed since. I have found it to increase slowly.

I have a bunch (now 18) of siberian irises, and they do very
well generally. However, this season my Caesar's Brother was totally
blind of flowers. It had the best culture and is a nice
full clump in its third year. Last year it produced one
spike. So far it has not bloomed well, but I'll give it one
more season. The Butter and Sugar that stands next to it
was spectacular this year.
My question is, is this variety known to be a shy bloomer?
Should I be looking for some symptoms of a problem here?
The foliage is spotless and about 4 feet tall. Caesar's
Brother is sold everywhere and is very popular. It ought
to do well!
