>When we were just getting interested in Iris Trevor's aunt Lucille (living in Indianpolis) gave us some older Iris - we planted them, and nothing much happened in this one spot by our pool-we didn't think anything about it, and several years later we had the most gorgeous foilage and the prettiest flowers and had no idea what it was! It didn't look like any Iris we knew at the time. Lo and behold it was our only Siberian - it has flourished in the same spot for many years now - it is on a curved walkway by our pool and it gets the most rave reviews from everyone! When I tell them it's Caesar's Brother, they just usually smile and say "the old ones are always good" We always win blue ribbons with it!
I suspect it has flourished in our devastating Oklahoma summers because I never do anything to it and have never moved it - when we swim I occasionally throw some water on it.
Bye the way, thanks to Sharon and Mike for the good info on Princess Beatrice-
