Today while digging irises up for shipping, I
noticed granules of fertilizer still in the ground that I had used last fall
when planting irises. With all the rain we had this past winter, the
fertilizer had not yet broken down. We had a beautiful bloom season after
getting a late start, but poor increases. My thinking is, the irises
didn't get any fertilizer.
Would appreciate any input as to why fertilizer
would not break down. We use a 6-20-20.
It is nice to be back online and read everyone's
messages. Thanks to John for keeping the communication lines open and for
the insight to start the new iris-talk. Thanks,
John.
