Re: Kathyguest's Excellent Adventure

From: SCHAFFCM@BUFFALOSTATE.EDU

Thanks, KathyGuest!!

This report is an encouragement to other Regions (namely Region 2, which
is hosting the Regional Meeting this fall!!, and which happens to be
New York State) and to hybridizers within the Regions and to judges who
SHOULD attend these Regional meetings and and and and

vicarious pleasure for those of us who need to stay home to patch leaking
roofs

I suggested privately to KathyGuest (who may receive this info thru this
LIST) that participation on the Iris-L (or whatever its current name is)
be one of the questions on the AIS Judges' Report (which is due August 1!).

Reading Kathy's report does not substitute for actually being there, but the
whole lot of info passed thru the Iris-L covers all (?) the categories
of info a judge needs. I can imagine that Walter Moores and Anner Whitehead
didn't get to the Region 6 meeting, but by reading about it here they
may have increased their knowledge as judges, and in reporting their
experiences as judges for the past year, participation on the Iris-L is
an important, very important, learning tool.

I am suggesting this because I have not read Iris-L for a long long time
and since it began to come thru John I Jones (who deserves an award of
some kind at the NATIONAL!) as a BCC, I've had to read it. And it's
pretty great!
