REF: Iris: Flower of the Rainbow

From: Duane Buell <dbuell@ptialaska.net>

Just thought I should mention that Barnes and Noble came through with my
copy of "IRIS: Flower of the Rainbow" that was ordered for Christmas, 97. I
must say that I purchased one of Grosvenor's other books and was totally
unimpressed. Consequently, I kind of forgot about this one.

What a mistake! Just the photography alone is worth the money. Grosvenor
talks about having a patent pending on a lens system he developed and used
for some of the photographs in this book, and you have to see the results to
believe them. My first impression was that there had been a lot of image
manipulation to give the clarity and depth of focus on most of his photos
until I read about his lens system. These photos are about as good as they
can get.

What a book. It's worth every penny.
