Jan, we're on the northern hemisphere seasonal cycle, so we haven't
replanted this year yet, but I have noticed something similar among my
arilbred seedlings. Most of them came up in the winter and early spring.
Already three of the little fellows have eight-fingered fans and -- as of
early last month -- one to two increases. Apparently some of these hybrids
are rabid growers.

Rabid growth being an aril-style trait, I wonder if I can expect
aril-looking flowers when they finally flower? Sure would fancy that.
