Hi,
I'm brand new to this list and am anxious to get involved. My grandfather
hybridized iris and we still have several of his old varieties with which
he won several awards. I'm taking after him, I guess.
I was wondering if there were any awards for the more bulbous irises, or
if they are even considered "irises" by iris enthusiasts. Are there
hybridizing opportunities for Juno, Spanish, reticulata, English, or Dutch
varieties? While I love the tall bearded and their families, I also enjoy
the grace and simplicity of these other irises.
