The horse pellets are pure alfalfa from a local feed store. Since we live
in an alfalfa growing region we thought we would try "green chop". The
alfalfa is cut in the field and laid out in wind rows. After it dries it is
usually bailed and sent to the local dairies, we want to buy some straight
from the field to mix in our soil. Any body out there ever tried this
before? If so, how were the results? If not, can anbody think of any pros
or cons to this idea?
